any risk setting NAT Mapping Enable: to Yes for MJ?

Post by desidude2000 »

I have a PAP2. MJ is working properly on Line 2 irregardless of setting NAT Mapping Enable to Yes or No.

However, i have another voip provider on Line 1, and I've noticed that unless I set NAT Mapping Enable to Yes on both Lines, this voip's incoming calls go stright to voicemail.

Setting NAT mapping Enable to Yes for both lines seems to solve the issue, but the question is, is it safe as far as MJ is concerned to map ports like this? Any harm done?

There is no harm. There are some other settings at the bottom of the SIP page (the VIA settings) that some providers care about and others don't, just like this setting. As long as it is working well for both Lines, you are in good shape.
