I have responded to a lot of posts that sound like this problem so I am posting it instead of answering each one

symptoms
phone dropping calls
phone not completing calls
phone not taking incoming calls

the firewall - I use Outpost - needs to be configured to allow ALL outbound TCP and ALL UDP connections.
you cannot just set it to be a trusted app.

This will cover ALL ports as MJ uses ports randomly and u can't cover that unless you do the above.

MJ also conflicts with some programs but the MAC update on a Windowz machine seems to fix two symptoms

Phone going to buzz instead of dialtone
Phone requires reloading periodically - usually indicated by above.

Issue NOT solved yet - Phone goes completely dead but I can still make calls via computer audio.

got an answer to that?
