For those of you who are scared of UTSCSI.exe

UTSCSI.exe is just to utilize ur USB stick... when you have problems they tell you to run magicfix... magicfix installs UTSCSI.exe to fix any USB problem you have... I dont have UTSCSI.exe because i never need to use magicfix.

Hmmm... Magicfix seem to run just fine without it. Am I missing something?

UTSCSI is installed when you first did a new installation of the MJ device in your system. If you disable UTSCSI, running MagicFix will not re-install UTSCSI, at least not in my case

You don't really need UTSCSI, I have UTSCSI service disabled and MJ is running fine [marq=right]  [/marq]

I installed MJ on 2 desktop and 1 laptop with no problem... I dont see UTSCSI.exe file in any of the three... also did a search for it on all three pc and dont have it. When my friend installed his MJ he had some issues and ran the magicfix file to try and fix it but that wasnt the problem... he has the UTSCSI.exe file in his pc... I learned about the MJ through him, he showed me what to do before installation so it will run flawlessly... never need to use magicfix.

Dont mind my english... its my second language

I just came from testing magicfix from one of my desktop and did a search right after for the UTSCSI.exe file and what do you know i found the file in C:/windows/system32/UTSCSI.exe and it is running

try and install MJ on another pc, and dont install magicfix... UTSCSI.exe will never install unless you use magicfix

Go to magicfix and run it http://www.magicjack.com/site/magicfix.html when its done, look in your running processors... you will see it running.

Gooney,

When you originally post I was going to suggest yo do a search for UTSCSI but actually because no one seems to know what it is or does I am personally starting to get tired of the subject.

Mine is turned off and the service that I believe it starts called CLV0. since I disabled this per LikeMagics suggestion it has yet to come back and I use MagicFix all the time hoping for some stupendous update.

And running or not it does not seem to alter how my MagicJack works. As I have said if you Google it you will know less about it than we do now. The Google items range from it is a Virus to something that is installed by some flash drives.

I am just trying to let users know that the UTSCSI.exe is part of the magicfix application and that is where it comes from... relax, its no biggy.

gooney,

"Relax", sorry if my post sounded hostile. the comment of "Tired of the subject" was prompted by the fact that on, off whatever doesn't seem to do anything and as far as it being part of MagicJack, if you have some time Google it and you will find that it is not just MagicJack that brings it in. The interesting part of whatever it is or does is there does not seem to be any unified opinions on what it is.

Anyother product I would call Tech Support, but with MJ you might as well ask a brick wall. :?
