Follow these directions and it should work;

The problem might be that you don't have autostart on the USB port, you then have to start it manually. Try to start by downloading http://upgrades.magicjack.com/upgrade/upgrade.exe. Most likely this will do it.

And did you let the commercial play out? It takes awhile for the boot process to go through the commercials before it even starts to load the operational software.

its not that hard ...

first relax, it'll work [assuming your PC isnt broken]

plug in the magicjack, then go get ya some coffee, the software installed automagically for me, but it DID take awhile on a 5 year old PC [ yes it works on the old pc, along with some other programs running too ]

after a bit, you'll need to enter some information, so keep checking on the PC.

wish i could remember details.

registration would be easy (if your computer is not locked up with all the firewalls) sometimes a router might get in the way. but a simple port opening would do

*anyway a friend of mine have difficulties registering using his ALLtell (aircard) and chatted with so called MJ TS. and said that mj would have some problems with aircards, considering its signal strength. . bla bla bla. .
anyway he tried his mj at home, it worked with my DSL though (registration)

-While connect to broadband internet, plug your MJ in to a USB port on you computer.

-If the MJ software does not start running automatically, go to the drive labeled magicJack on your computer and double click on the autorun.exe. This should start the MJ process.

-If it still does not connect to the MJ site to register your MJ, then it may be a problem with your router blocking the ports MJ uses, or a software firewall running on your computer doing the same thing. Turn off your firewall if you have one running and see if that fixes the problem. If not then it could be the router needs to be configured to allow the MJ to connect.
