just renewed service for another year and my mj went out. bought a new one and they gave me a new number . now what happens to my other year of service?

From what I have read on here do NOT plug in your new MJ till you contact support. This way they can transfer your old # and time to your NEW MJ. I think you are SOL once you plug in the new one and register it. I could be wrong but I would contact "live" chat and see what they say.

Another thing you can do is to return the new MJ for a refund within 30 days and buy yet another one. Make sure that you follow the instructions for moving your existing number to the new MJ when you do so, or you will be stuck in the same mess yet again.

got it resolved. lost the old phone number but they did transfer the extra year of service to the new number

Why you lost your old number ? Did you plug in the MJ before contacting support ?
