Screech: Short sporadic high pitched sound during a call.
This has been posted on the forums several times. I'm wondering if anyone has gotten any input on a fix.
It's still annoying after eight months.
SCREECH...SCREECH...AND MORE SCREECH.

"It's still annoying after eight months." You must have serial number 001.
Are you talking about the thing that sounds like a DTMF tone. or something else.

act1,
OK - you guys are talking about a different noise than the one I experience which is more like a short DTMF tone. I have not experienced anything like a squelch trip (pink noise burst).

Tech chat hasn't got a clue. They make you go through the standard routine for any fix especially the classic, "Try a different USB port." There are some annoyances that will never get fixed by MJ. We will have to live with them.atc1 wrote:I still experience a sporadic sound similar to squelch breaking on a radio. It last about 1 second. I have Magicjack wired to my whole house wiring using Panasonic cordless phones. I would have thought someone would have found a fix for this condition by now.
