Can't place outbound calls for certain numbers

I can call 800 numbers fine. I can also call my voicemail. But I can't call any local numbers in Utah or in Arizona or Washington. When I try to make a call, it doesn't even ring. But my friends answer the phone. I can't hear them or they can't hear me, but the call did go through.

How can I fix this?

I have same problem. 800 no.s work fine. Calls within my area code 803 connect but no audio either way. Close, but no cigar. I may try headphone/mike setup instead of phone. Will return to BestBuy if I cannot get it to work soon. Possible problem is maybe my new no. is one of few in exchange......so I will change no. once to try for a fix, but the other exchanges are new ones too with few listed no.s. I have used 2 phones and I have received a return call from one no., but the audio did not work.

It just started working for me again. So I know it wasn't anything wrong with my MJ. It was obviously on the MJ server or something with the phone network.

I call no.s in the local area which is primarily what I got it for and no audio either way....except a call back from the party I called works. I called a plumber and after hanging up, he called back since he probably had caller ID. - my phone rang and the caller ID worked and the audio was good. Still close, but no cigar. It must be some little glitch - but what? The ring was not real vigorous so maybe the USB port is a little weak on power?
