When I bought the MJ it started up immediately after starting or restarting my computer. I have Vista Home Premium. All of the sudden about two weeks ago I must have done something that changed this. Now the dialpad will delay over 10 or 15 minutes to appear enabling the use of the phone. Sometimes it just doesn't appear. At startup the dongle appears and everything looks normal but wait for the dialpad, it doesn't appear.
Yesterday I totally lost the phone and the dialpad wouldn't display and I got every possible error message from MJ that you can think of. After hours chatting with the very nice but useless agents at the Consumer Service of MJ, updating and formatting over 12 times the thing, after chatting with 3 agents and two supervisors, I got back the dialpad after I shut down the modem for over 5 minutes. But it still takes over 10 or 15 minutes to appear.
Please help me. I have never had so many problems with a gadget until I bought MJ but what can you expect for so little? I don't complain because I cannot afford a regular phone line now. But I need to solve this problem because it is my only phone line.
