local calls

if i get a area code outside state will everybody be calling me long distance in this area?

Probably, unless they too have a Magicjack. MJ to MJ is always free. You can check out Grand Central (google it) and sign up for an invite. That will give you a local number you can use (and do an awful lot more). Thats what I did so my Mom (living about 10 miles away would'nt have to call me long distance. Now adays an awful lot of people have unlimited long distance plans and I (think) all cell phones are free long distance so for a lot of people its probably a nonissue. Also see the post on the caller ID spoofer (eleswhere on this forum), it's a nifty little program so that people you call will see the Grand Central number instaed of some wierd out of state number.
