Voice Break on Vista

I have a Vista Machine connected to the DSL Modem over LAN Cable.

When I dial out the connection is good and sound quality is good, BUT after few minutes there is a pause for 1 second in the conversation, and this happens after same intervals every time.

I ran the Network Monitor and found out that after every 120-150 seconds there is a pulse heart beat on the network which disrupts the communication. When I ran the Wire Shark or Ethereal it says that the pulse was a VOIP packet. When I disconnect the Magic Jack and resume the normal surfing the network monitor does not show the pulse anymore.

What’s happening here? Do I need to do anything for fixing the issue?

Please help as its getting difficult to use the Magic Jack.
