Looks like the newark proxy is dead:

Code: Select all

C:\>ping 67.106.133.198

Pinging 67.106.133.198 with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.

these proxy servers have a lease time on the IP address jst like your home computer. When you ping for the proxy server you must ping by the DNS name and not the IP address for the proxy. The proxy server didn't die, it just changed ip addresses.

Another note. If you are using the CID spoofer and the IP address changes on the proxy server, you are going to get error 3 until you change the IP address in the spoofer to the new IP address.

I mentioned how to fix the problem here. http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/outb ... 8-210.html

CALLER ID HELP

Post by saxman »

I just tried to enter the help file on the softphone and it's not working-no support-I want to get all my calls delivered to my phone/recorder and not to the softphone. My caller ID is talking and it's working fine but it's not storing messages-Those are going to softphone. How do I get my home phone to do the caller ID and collect the calls?

Huh, saxman?

Are you asking if you can disabled the MJ voicemail and use a phone/answering machine at your location, instead of VM? If that's your question, I'm curious, too.

Anyone know?

Via TechChat:
GuyOnTheAir: Hello. Is it possible to disable voicemail, so the phone will just ring until asnwered?

Alicia: One moment please...

Alicia: You cannot de-activate Voicemail from your account at this time. This feature may possibly be available in future.

Yes-I don't want my calls to be stored by MJ as I have a good phone with a recorder and when it rings it tells me who it is on the line. It's a KX-TG5672 by Panasonic-it's talking caller ID-the way it's working now with the MJ is that when someone calls , after the 3rd. ring it tells me who it is, but then when people leave a message it's going on the MJ recorder and not on my home phone/recorder. I'd like the MJ to not take messages for me.

Well, again, according to the TechChat people, that "feature" is not available now.
