Can't decide

Hey guys,
Been using magic jack here at my place of business for about a year now, just about to renew my MJ service. But I've done some searching on this forum and can't find a solution to this.

-Oh course I don't want to use MJ's softphone anymore.
-I D/Led X-lite, set it up, and could not get it to work.
-I have my cridentials, got it working on my ipod touch, but doesn't help much at work.
-I want to continue using the hardphone because I walk out into the shop often and if I don't take my cordless, I may miss an important call, so headset plugged into the computer won't work for me.
-I'd like to use a softphone like x-lite or similar, but continue using my cordless phone.
-We also have multiple MJ's in use here so I'd like to do something to change them all to this new method.

Just a curiosity question, but what is it you like about a softphone? When I first got my MJ, I wanted to do anything and everything I could with it, so I got it working with X-Lite 'cause I saw other people were using it. For me, it was a big yawn, so I deleted it. However, to refresh my memory, I found the following page:
