Nice find. I wonder if those mirror sites are legit or just some phishing attempts to steal credit cards and other personal info from the unwary.
A quick whois revealed that magicjack.com domain is owned by YMAX Corp., so it's legit. But the magicjacktv.com domain is registered by another entity in Arizona. It could be legit, but it could also be a scam.
Just a heads-up.

magicjack.com/ means its lagit... its not a scam... the layout is in another folder for layout option... its just a layout MJ is not using right now...if they decide to use the other layouts all they do is redirect to folder 5 or 6 etc;... the default layout now is 4.dukeomaha wrote:Nice find. magicjacktv.com i would stay away from... it could be a scam... they use an arizona company that hides your true identity... its an option when you signup a domain with godaddy... why would they want to hide thier company info if its lagit.

OK, I'm nervous now. Ordered earlier today and noticed the site started magicjack.com and then transfered to magicjacktv.com. I didn't think anything of it until I read this post. I was searching to find out if you're supposed to get an order confirmation email (because I haven't got one yet).
Thinking I would be better off with ViaTalk.....at least they have people that will answer phones.
It looks like everything is redirecting to magicjacktv.com now, anyone else seeing that?
Is it normal to not get an email confirming your order?

i didnt get an confirm email but i got an tracking number for usps
Aw, c'mon! MagicJack is all about marketing! So, I think you may rest assured that the different website designations are used to track the source of the link (click), i.e., "Where did you hear about us?" Cheers, msiam wrote:I would just about betcha, that the different numbers are for the different progressions of MJ.. Like right now.. we are in "Beta 4".Hence.. "4". When they roll out the next beta, or out of beta, will be.. ah ha!! "5" of what ever???

Don't worry, MagicJackTV or the fact that you didn't get a confirmation email. I never received a confirmation email for anything when I purchased or registered for my number.
Also on the TV stuff - They sent me an email saying that the 30 Trial thing would in the next few days be a thing of the past and all the advertisements would be thru TV and their WEB.
So it will be a thing like you see Dell do (Hmmm Dell Do, has a peculiar ring to it) with www.dell.com/TV.
Before you change your mind just keep thinking $19 dollars a year.
PS - Go to their Sales Chat and confirm your order, they are probably in the process of phasing out the on-line 30 day promo and you might want to check that your order didn't fall thru a crack. Again don't let all this MagicJack crap about them being scam artists get you all fretted up. And if it is a scam - which it is not - your Credit Card company will make it good anyway.
