Disconnecting?

Ive been having this problem after about a week of uncompromised used, I'm using an imac 3.06ghz 1tb 4gb ram. well everytime i plug in the magic jack the window comes up to click on the magicjack program i do and it looks like its about to load and the icon pops up at the bottom but then a window with a red box and an exclamation mark comes up saying device removal and the magicjack doesnt load up. I am unable to make calls or use the device at all. My magicjack was bought in july so the update is not necessary. When i plug it into a windows pc i get the bad memory error and ive tried what feels like everything to try and fix it can anybody help me at all?

mine has done the same thing. the only way i can make it work is to go to disk utilities and erase the disk. you will lose all of your contacts, but it will work.
