Can't click telephone option, no audio device?
This thing was working fine, then after a reboot it says no input audio devices are found, and I am un-able to select telephone in the headset config.
It was there yesterday!
I did magicfix, no go. tried the recovery thing, no go.....
I have a dialtone.... Everything is listed in device manager like when it was working...
What the hell could have happened?

Sorry if my frustration is showing.
Vaginarian,
If you are using XP I don't know.
If you are using Vista I don't know why all of a sudden for you but mine on Vista always did that same thing. I installed Vista SP1 and the problem was fixed.
Good Luck.

can't select telephone fix
While Your Magic Jack is plugged in and softphone running go to device manager expand sound video and game controllers and update drivers for USB Internet Phone by Tiger Jet. Skip check the web for software and install software automatically. Worked for me.
USBAudio.driver blind leading the blind
If you can't select phone, you need USBAudio.driver---I have had this problem every time I reinstall the XP embedded operating system. The driver will not install properly most of the time for me---when you first plug in the magic jack, you should get a box asking what to do about New Device Found. You probably won't be able to get to it because the Magic Jack startup box horns in on your screen and takes over--resistance is futile--it is taking all your cpu anyhow just let it finish and it looks like MJ is working but you can't select phone. That New Device found box is the only way I can get the whole set of drivers to install, particularly if you get a virtual memory error, and some drivers are missing. Trying to update the drivers from device manager doesn't work for me, because the OS thinks the drivers are already working fine, but we know different. If you have this problem, delete the mj folder that is in the Applications Data folder under Administrator, so that you can restart the Thin Client and magic jack will be reinstalled, and you will get the box asking what to do about New Device Found. Another problem you may have is the EWF thing. No one on here has every specifically said anything about Commit or Overlay commands, they just say turn it on and off--also not saying if you should reboot. Correct instructions would be something like:EWF turn on, Commit, then Overlay, then reboot. I never know if I am supposed to commit or just turn it on...
The USBAudio.driver is found at:
http://rs9.rapidshare.com/files/1398091 ... Driver.zip
It contains 9 files in the i386 folder, when it installs properly you will see each of the files being written.

Another option for fixing this issue
I recently moved my magicJack device from an old Windows XP laptop (which I'm giving to a friend) to a desktop computer which is running Windows Vista. The desktop computer sits in my network closet -- I use it more as a development machine, so I typically connect to it using Microsoft's Remote Desktop client.
After plugging in the magicJack USB device, I remoted into the machine to launch the software, and this is when I saw the "No Audio Found!" error message. I wasn't able to make or receive calls.
I verified that all of the audio drivers were installed and working correctly, and then noticed that while I was remoted in, those drivers were essentially put "on hold" and replaced with a virtual audio driver. This virtual driver allows the audio from the computer to be sent to the remote desktop client. It works great for that purpose, but it was getting in the way of magicJack.
The solution: change my settings in the Remote Desktop Client as follows:
For Mac Remote Desktop Users:

For Mac Remote Desktop Users:
- Go to the RDC menu and choose Preferences
Click on the Sound tab
Go to the "Sound" tab of the settings for the connection.
Under the heading "Play sound from the Windows-based computer", select the option which reads "On the Windows-based computer only".
- Click on Options
Click the Local Resources tab
Under "Remote Audio" click the Settings button
Under "Remote Audio Playback" choose "Play on remote computer" and click OK.
Make sure that you see the Serial number of your magicjack device which is found in the Menu button.
Next step:
Go to Device and and under Sounds and video games controllers look for USB interent phone by tigerjet, once found right click on it and click on uninstall if prompted for a restart plug the magicJack to a different USB port and uninstall again it should not ask for a restart this time, once uninstalled right click on Sounds and Video games controllers and click on scan for hardware changes.
Restart dial pad and the NO AUDIO FOUND! should be gone and be able to switch to Telephone. Hope this helps.
