hide software

Post by warnockm »

I have a magicjack and love the hardware, hate the software. Every time my computer starts, Magicjack has to open up and be in the forefront. Also, when I receive or make a call, the software pops up. Since there is really no point to the software once the settings have been made, i'd like to hide it. is there a setting, or utility I can use to hide it?

The easiest solution probably works the best and doesn't require any programming. Just slide it off the desktop until only the edge is showing. Works perfectly and keeps those of us who are technically disinclined from screwing anything up.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.

On the softphone you can go to menu>>advanced users>>minimize to tray...then click on the minimize "-" ...voila, it's gone and available when needed.

Until you make or recieve a phone call at which point it pops back up. I believe that is the problem they are referring to.
