MAX memory in T5700?

I have 512Meg in my t5700 and I think I need more as I am running three apps simultanepusly and they are running SLOW.

Is 512 the max or is there a larger chip that I can use?

BUT...I think I have found the problem and its not memory. It seems that there are two things that I have found by trial and error that are causing hang ups in the computer. One is the WiFi that I use for the MagicJack. The other appears to be noise on the power buss.

I find that whenever I connect the WiFi adapter the computer hangs within 3 minutes.

But I have also found that without the WiFi I will still occasionally get a message to the effect that "We are dumping all memory to protect the computer" in a blue screen with white text. It then locks up.

But in the house on the bench I get only the WiFi hangup and never the dumping memory message.

I think the 12V buss in the car may be noisy from the cars computer.

What OS are you using? I think I read with a full version of XP you can increase the RAM to 1024. I haven't tried it although I would like to.

I am using a full version of XP on a 10 gig HD. I would love to know how to increase the memory. Of course if they dont make the hardware (the memory chip board) then having the full XP wont make any difference...

stroths wrote in his sticky that it worked in a 5720 but wouldn't boot in a 5710. But, it may have been the brand of RAM he used?
