Choice of not having features

Post by aisa »

Magic Jack is so affordable, I thought I would be saving money by using it for my job. It works beautifully for me no problems what so ever. The only thing I am dissatisfied with is not being able to completely disable call waiting and voice-mail. I would really like to have the option of not having call waiting or voice-mail. I work from home and it's required not to have those features. Please give those of us the option that really don't need the features to have a choice.

You can disable the voicemail. Just search in in the forums here for that. For the call waiting I would just not answer the other line while I'm on a call. If they could add a feature that I would like to see it would be call waiting caller id.

as far as I know attempts to disable voice mail have failed. Does anyone know something different on this problem?

aisa,

Would Google Voice be an option? I forward all my MJ incoming calls to GV and decide how I want to handle them from there. FWIW

I use magicringforever and it prevents the voicemail from picking up.

To disable call waiting or if you need call waiting caller id, you can use Magicfeatures that adds those capabilities.
