outlook addin doesnt work

i installed magic jack about a week ago. in addition to the auto start problems, pathetic tech support, and not being able to retain headset settings, the outlook addin doesn't seem to do anything.

it only appears in the outlook main window, not on individual contacts. if i type a name into the toolbar field it tries to dial the name. if i bring up a contact, the toolbar doesn't do anything.

is there some trick to getting it to work?

i have already put an unjustifyable amount of time into getting someelse's product functioning tolerably. if i can't get good outlook integration, and have to be cut and pasting phone number, that will be the last straw.

does anyone have the outook toolbar working well? in xp, outlook 2003.

Use the search tab,type in outlook might get the info you need,Good luck.

i searched on 'outlook' before posting my question. i found people complaining about the same problem, and a few perhaps indicating that the addon did work, but i couldn't tell for sure what it was doing for them. or what the difference is with their systems.

tech support couldn't tell me anything about the outlook addon, and i don't know what it should be doing if it was was working. mine does nothing. just sits there on the outlook main screen.
