majic jack must be plugged in message
When I put my majicjack into my usb, it recognizes it as majicjack and goes through the whole "one minute of patience.. routine, but when it is finished it flashes quickly something about a lucky upgrade, and then I get a message that says "warning, my majicjack should be plugged in" and it is.
Anybody know what is going on?

tech support
The tech support button is usually a waste of time.Xen1969 wrote:Don't get your hopes up but have you tried MagicJack tech support chat at the bottom of the MagicFix page?
I'm interested in your results and whether they are able to help you or not so please let us know. Post the log of the chat here if you want.
As far as the power cycling all inline gadgets, that is a possibility, I'll try tomorrow morning and let you know.
no luck
power cycled everthing and no luck, it still is saying "warning, magicjack must be plugged in"
It happens on any computer i try it with, must have something to do with the hardware.

have you tried the MJRecover that I've seen posted here. Should give you a clean software start on the jack
Quoting MagicHack here:
"I've never actually done this, but I believe all you need to do is delete (or format) your magicJack drive. It would
be listed like "Vista Only" or "Phone" or something like that in explorer.
As you know, there are 2 'drives' which get mounted when you insert your jack. One is a 'CD Rom' drive (AKA read only),
and the other one contains the data you probably want to delete. Assuming you display hidden files, I'm guessing that you
can simply rename the "magicJack" folder on this drive, then run the mjrecover...."
You can try that out. Also Al always had good information on the mjrecovery and what exactly it did and might be of some help if he can chime in

The MJ app died however I did get it to work with Skype and all of the TigerJet diags showed the hardware was is perfect working condition.huckleberry wrote:Had the same thing happen 2 me last month. Amange suggested uninstalling my usb drivers. Didnt work though. MJ pooped itself. They sent me a replacement in the mail. Got the new MJ 5 days later.

I can see that these messages are old as dust but unfortunately we are all still having the same problems! thats the price to pay when you barely pay anything for the service... now... i'm going to try the deletion method to see if i can fix the bug because my mj is not being recognized by my computer now period.
