Linux Server with mjproxy?

I used to have two ata's working fine for MJ, but when they changed to the version that cut out Ata's, i switched to thin clients.
Now unfortunatley one thin client (hp t5720) stopped working.
I am now wondering, if I can setup my webserver (Linux) as a proxy with mjproxy, so i can setup my Ata's and some Voip-Applications on my ipod Touch.
The advantage would be, that the ip of the linux server is a fixed one and it would be accesible from anywhere. Home or outside...

Can anyone help me finding the source or binaries for linux (SUSE linux) and get me some tips for setting that up?
Or doesn't this make sense at all?
I am using a D-Link DI-634M Router, that is not really supported by openwrt... So I would hate to srew it up...

BTW: If someone knows why my t5720 made some strange noises this morning and after switching it off it would not start up or show the control-light anymore, i would really appreciate!
