Thin clients for cheap

I have to rave about Alpman's thin clients. Really work great and free up my laptop. The price was right too. thanks again Alpman. I'm a tinker too, so i couldn't resist adding more memory i had laying around, but really, it works great as sold. great job.

Instead of a thin client I would suggest looking into buying a mini-ITX. I'm going to get rid of my HP 5720 Thin Client and upgrade to either the Zotac MAG HD-ND01 NVIDIA ION NVIDIA ION graphics processor Mini/Booksize Barebone System or maybe build my own with the Zotac Ion mini-ITX motherboard. It's received rave reviews for a small, low power, Intel Atom 330 (dual-core) motherboard with NVIDIA 9400M graphics. I want something that is low power consumption like a thin client, but I can also surf the internet without being bogged down by slow thin client graphics and overall limited power. The Zotac mini-ITX provides both low power and overall excellent performance for a small platform.

Just a few days ago, I put together an order for an Intel ATOM, 2GB RAM, 500GB WDC green hard drive, Lite-On DVD and in InWin case -- very lower power system. Total cost shipped $238. I plan to use it to run magicJack but also use it as a home server for backing up our computers.
