Should magicJack buy netTalk With its TK6000 Technology?

Should magicJack buy netTalk for its TK6000 technology. This might be a logical fit for both companies as magicJack and YMAX has drastically improved it network reliability over the last year and it appears that netTalk is still attempting to fines theirs. Eventually magicJack will saturate the market with the USB dongle and its future growth will be limited or cease to exist. The TK6000 concept is clearly superior to magicJack's USB dongle device.

From the way the tk6000 looks and markets itself this may be one of their plans. With the explosive growth that MJ has had in the last 2 years it would not surprise me if MJ eventually bought or developed an ata type service and also continue to sell the dongle as well. If the femtojack ever becomes available this may be the deceiding factor in wether or not they pursue such an endeavor.

The predecessor to netTALK was run by KYRIAKIDES ANASTASIOS before it went bankrupt. Guess who the major stockholder in netTALK is, that's right, Kyriakides Anastasios. They have around 8 million shares issued and Anastasios owns over 2 million of them. Share are running just under $1 per share and their market cap is between $8m and $9m. netTALK lost 2.3 million $ in the period ending in September.

Market cap of $8m with a loss of $2.5m is not something MJ/YMAX would want to buy. It's also doubtful Anastasios would want to sell at this point since he's benefiting from things just the way they are.

Of course, netTALK just launched their new service in September following a limited beta period. I'm sure their financials will improve substantially as time progresses.
