Settings for hyperthread machines

Post by chihuahuas »

Task manager
Processes
MagicJack exe
set priorty to high
set Affinity to cpu1

I have 2 of these tried it on 4 different machines.
Both are on same network, Spoofer off, disabled host file blank.
I get raspy audio with some calls others are perfect.
I get the Squeel also.

Hyperthreading machines had a problem with audiorip program used with TsReader so I thought setting Affinitiy to one cpu may fix squeel. Setting Priorty to high or real time may help also. time will tell.

I am using the extension cable.

chihuahuas,

I have had more trouble with hyper-threading than I care to admit. I purchased on awhile back from dell their default bios setting for hyper-threading is OFF, you might want to take a lesson from the big kids.

Hyper-Threading never really caught on so there has be very little if any development in that area. Anyway in my case if hitting your self in the head with a hammer hurts stopping the practice stopped the pain.

kumar,

Like I said to chihuahuas, some of those Hyper-threading machines were pretty nice machine. Some of them had a lot of horse power and I still use on, a Dell, that is just fine as long as I leave the hyper-threading turned off.

If I fell like having a bad day I turn it on.
