I received a MJ as a present for XMAS. I signed up for a one year deal with a Canadian #. I was a little miffed about the extra $10 per year for it but hey I am Canadian and am used to getting screwed for the same service the rest of the world is getting, I know boo hoo. For $29 a year I still can't complain.
I plugged it in and had some issues as I was running a Smoothwall firewall. I opened some ports and voila it works like a charm. I have been making all kinds of calls and can't even tell the difference between that and the regular phone line.
I am going to cancel my long distance and keep an basic phone line with my local carrier (as the 911 service does not work in Canada) and use this for long distance.
the customer service setup is kinda awkward with the chat only thing. I had to contact them a few time with questions, it was kind of tedious but I got through it. At least they could type english. There is so much stuff on the net too that I was able to figure things out with ease.
So far I am am very impressed and have no complaints.
Got an Canadian # and I love it.
