Hi. I just got a Magic Jack a couple of days ago, and so far, so good...
I do have a MagicFix question, though. I can run MagicFix, and I don't seem to have any Java problems, but it complains about this:
"Unable to access your magicJack. Please reinsert the magicJack and contact tech support if the problem continues."
What's weird is, everything seems to be fine with the MagicJack (again, so far!). Has anyone else had this evidently "false report?" If so, is there any way to fix it? Or should I just not worry about it unless/until something goes wrong with the MJ?
Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated - thanks!

a MagicFix question

Yes, I had the same issue last night with my new MJ. I chatted with a rep who asked what version of Windows I was using. When I said Vista, he said to ignore the warning, the big red X, because it was not a problem, just some glitch in MagicFix. That makes sense because all 15-20 other lines had a green checkmark, and I'm able to dial in and out just fine.

Thanks very much, afinegold. That is very reassuring!! Even though I am running Windows XP (rather than Vista) I bet it's the same story for me.
I saw a different post on here which described the root of the problem to be that the internet settings are set too high for the Java on that website, and how to add the site to "Trusted Sites" and lower the settings...I tried all of that but to no avail. But that post too also confirmed that failing the test on that page is nothing to worry about.
Thank you again for the reply!
