Does installing MagicJack disable the hibernation routine?

I'm totally new to MJ. I used to hibernate my XP Dell dimension computer when I went to bed at night. Since installing MJ the computer will not hibernate when pushing and releasing the power button. I assume MJ disenabled the routine. Is this true?

I liked just pushing and releasing the power button; the machine would close down in about one minute and then the next morning at the push of the power button the computer would restore itself with all my work in progress just as I had left it the night before.

Did I lose hibernation when plugging in MJ?

Click on Start.
Click on Turn Off Computer.
Hold down the left shift key, the sleep button will change to hibernate.
While holding the shift key, click on hibernate.
Does it work?

No, that doesn't help. The only things that seems to work is the Turn Off button and the ReStart button; the Standby/Hibernate button does not respond at all.

You are correct. Hibernate does not work if MJ is running. If you eject the MJ drives using the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the tray, then hibernate will work.
