Move MJ from XP to Win7 and back to XP?

Post by hsweiss »

Has anyone tried moving a working MJ from an XP machine to a Win7 machine, got it working, and then move it back to an XP machine?

I was wondering if this works or if the MJ had to be reformatted to go back and forth?

I wouldnt think so as the software for the softphone resides on the PC itself, and now our contact list is on a MJ server. I would THINK you should be able to go back and forth without a problem.
BUT this being MJ land ONE NEVER KNOWS and logic rarely comes into play :)

I use MJ primarily on a Win 7 machine at home, but when I take it to the lake house, I plug it into a XP machine and it works fine there and also when I return to my home.

I've also switched between Win7, XP, and Mac, with no problems whatsoever!
