Running MagicJack as a service

Post by lnardozi »

There's a really nice article by FZ that describes how to do it. Also, I have just written a software that does it for you. Maybe some people who are on here could help me test it.

http://home.comcast.net/~louis.nardozi/.exe

should work for most versions of windows.

Anyone want to try and report the results to me at [email protected]?

So I took a chance downloaded the app. It will not work on win7 x64
it kept saying on log off/on "sorry have to run this as a admin" then it would log me off. I was logged in as a admin. then it stuck in a loop, had to do a uninstall of app and delete from startup to get back to the Norm. :(

Sorry for the lack of response - I was doing taxes past two days. I will attempt to reproduce on my wife's laptop (she's the only one with win7).

Thanks for helping me test!

Not running System 7 at the moment but I had a similar problem with a program and System 7 in the past that wanted administrator rights.

My memory is a little vague but I believe I right clicked on the the exe file and found an option there that will allow you to choose to allow that individual program to run with administrator rights. After that the program ran with out complaining any longer about needing administrator rights.

Hope this helps.
