Calls breaking up

Post by Lee P »

My incoming calls are breaking up in timed sequence. When the phone rings at the other engd it almost sounds like morse code
I have talked to techs to no avail.done just about everything on this site.
I have gone directly to my PC eliminating my router
I tried it on my laptop and get the same thing.
Should I return my MJ and try a new one.
The other thing is that when my MJ is booting up I get 2 windows that I have to cancel before I get my softphone.
One says:Files Needed,
The file usbccgp.sys on Windows XP home Edition Service Pack 2 is needed
and the other says USBAudio is needed
What is that all about.
I have called my cable provider to make sure there is no firewall and there is none, connection is great.
I have removed the MJ from device manager and reinstalled.
Changed my UDP.
Anything else?

I used to get a few windows that needed to be closed when loading it also. I think they said "new hardware found" and some other one. MJ tech support said to ignore them. I can't remember how I got rid of them but it may have happened when I did a complete format and reinstalled XP. I've always found that doing that with Windows a few times a year makes everything run good again. You may want to reinstall SP2 if it's needing some files or maybe do a file check and let Windows go through and replace any missing files.start/my computer/right click properties/tools/file check or I like doing the XP repair installation for file problems sometimes. I like using registry repair tools-I have Reg Cure and Reg Vac both great and can be had at Mininova-also, for those audio problems. Everyone has them with VOIP phones. The DSL customers like me have the most but there is a solution and it's less then 50 bucks-and this company should pay me commision for telling so many people about it but the Hawking Broadband Booster is the solution for the bad audio-here's the info on it-
