Phone Keeps Ringing on Incoming calls

Tried using my Uniden 5.8Ghz cordless phone with my MJ becuse it has multiple handsets. When I get an incoming call, the phone continues to ring after I pick it up. Don't have that probem with a cheap Vtech single wireless handset. Any suggestions? Uniden was working fine with Vonage. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

O.K. I've been playing around since I first posted and I've gotten things to work by plugging a splitter to the MJ and connecting two phones. My guess is that the ringer equivelence is too low on the Uniden. With the Uniden and the Vtech both plugged in, everything is fine. If anybody has another solution or theory, I'd love to hear it. Thanks

I have magic jack plus plugged into the router. I have a landline connected to MJ but also the iphone app on my iphone 5. This past week this problem started. If the phone rang and I answered it on my iphone, I would continue to hear the ring on my phone while talking to the caller. It wod ring 4 or 5 times before stopping. Anyone else experience this? Any fixes?

Believe it or not, each MJ device's and/or installed app's ringing is set and controlled SEPARATELY - from within your MJ account settings online - even if those devices and/or apps are all set to use the same phone number. So at home if you use a phone attached to a MJ device but also have a MJ app installed on a cell phone and have both set to the same nume number, if when you're st home you don't want to hear the app ringing it's easiest to simply turn the app's ringer off from within the phone's settings. For example, on an iPhone you simply go into the phone's Notifications settings, select magicJack, and turn off Sounds.

I wonder how much of this has to do with broadband latency, especially between the our routers and magicJack's SIP servers. When my broadband has a latency of 10ms or less, as tested by speedtest.net to the closest available testing server, the time between answering on one device and stopping ringing on other devices decreases. When latency is higher, the time it takes for other devices to stop ringing seems longer.
