Magicjack making outbound 800 calls

This is more of a question than a problem. I have had my magicjack for 2 weeks now and its great by the way. But one thing concerns me a little. I noticed from the time I set it up that it makes outbound calls to 2 or 3 - 800 numbers. This is a little concerning. I called the numbers listed and I get a fax acknowlegement tone ( or guess it could be modem) from the other end. Anyone have any idea why it does this. Is this something to do with the advertisements or something?

You have either a DVR, satellite box, or alarm dialing out at night. It's normal.

Do you have it connected to your whole house phone wiring?

Do a google search on the numbers ala xxx-yyy-zzzz to see what shows up.

May be trivial if it relates to your cable service but if its more mysterious I would recommend an exorcism against spyware/virus/malware...

First person is right.... I forgot all about that...... I did tie the magicjack into my original phone wiring to feed my cordless phone..... I forgot all about my satilitte box being hooked up.
