I have not used this device, but I believe it's very similar to other Linksys/Sipura units.

Here are basic settings. These values are examples -- of course, use your actual values.

Proxy: proxy1.stlouis.talk4free.com:5070
Outbound Proxy: <leave blank>
Use Outbound Proxy: no
Display Name: John Doe
User ID: E212867530901
Password: SECRETPW20CHARACTERS
Auth ID: E212867530901

If the above does not help, verify that a PC connected to a LAN port can access the Internet. If not, fix that first.
If your device is behind another router, try connecting it directly to your DSL modem.

If still no luck, provide details on your config (modem, other router, etc.) and state precisely what is going wrong.

Note that this usage is presently not permitted by the TOS, although MJ stated that a BYOD option would be available this month.

Codec should be G711U.
Anything to do with STUN or NAT should be off.
If no luck, post all your settings (advanced) (mask personal info), also what kind of modem do you have?
If still no luck, you'll have to use SIP debug or capture traffic to see what's going wrong.
Have you been able to make this device work with other providers?

Can someone out there PM me and tell me how you decrypt your 20 character password. I don't have enough CPU power to do that...

That's funny!!!

Anyway, I just purchased a PAP2 (V.1) on closeout from Staples and am trying to figure out if I can make it work with my MJ. Is it worth the effort or should I return it and get my $20 back?

Thanks

If it's unlocked, very little effort should be needed to set it up.

If you need to unlock it, searching http://www.dslreports.com/forum/voip will likely find a useful thread. In some cases, it's a lot of work. It may be less work if you unlock it before connecting it to the Internet.
