You need to find out if they offer "naked" DSL. I have that now for a yr with my local phone company. Though mine is unique ( I think). I get to keep my phone # BUT I am not able to dial out ( other than 911) I still can get calls. I use my MJ to make all my calls and people who had my land line# can still call it. So it is a win win for me and I am saving close to $40 a month to boot.

ATT offers "Dry Loop" DSL service from just $25 and up. It runs about $5-10 more per month than their bundled service depending on your choice of d/l speed. You can bundle it with ATT wireless service for a $10/mo savings as well.

There are many good DSL providers in Canada.

But you haven't specified what country you're in. It would help. Maybe fill in some info in your profile.

I have Dry Loop DSL form AT&T and I get a $10 discount for having cellular service through them.
