incoming calls not clear at all

Post by micheal »

Ever since my Thin Client not work, I plug my Magic jack into my laptop and it works great with outgoing calls.

However almost all incoming calls not clear, I can hardly hear what they say at all, I have to tell them I call you back. When I call them back, it is very good quality.

I chat with live help desk support, they did various things, but this still existing.

Any help on it?Thanks in advance.

Are the other callers using MJ? If so, perhaps their proxy has problems, so when they call you, it is unclear.

However, when you originate the call, then your proxy handles the call better.

Just an idea. If the other callers are not MJ users, then my idea doesn't apply.
Enjoys a daily VOIP cocktail made from:

-One shot Magic Jack
-One shot TK6000
-One shot NetTalk Duo
-Two shots Ooma (it's bigger)

Shaken, not stirred.

Google Voice is the chaser.

As far as I know, some are cell phones, some are from homeland lines. Some are from company phones.

Not really sure why it is so unclear. Like can hardly recognize anything except I can see the caller id so I know who called me.

I've noticed the same thing. My outgoing calls are generally much clearer and more stable connections than incoming calls. No one else I know uses magicJack, and these are all cell phones or landlines calling me.
