Calls disconnect in 55 seconds...every time

Post by wheels87 »

Got my MJ working, incoming & outgoing calls are clear, but every call disconnects in exactly 55 seconds. Any suggestions? Windows XP, running though a Linksys router. All ports are set per instructions. Thanks,

If you are running a software firewall other than Windows Firewall, try disabling that. Also, test with PC connected directly to modem, bypassing router (but be sure firewall is on for that test).

When you say use another port, do you mean another USB port or another UDP or TCP setting? And you, funny guy with the "talk faster" comment, aren't you the customer service guy I talked to at Sprint for 4 hours last week?

1. Is the pc or laptop you are on recieving internet wireless or directly connected via ethernet(RJ45)port?
2. have you tried without the linksys router?(just using the modem direct to your pc)
3. do you have all the latest and greatest updates for xp ?(sp2 and all the online updates from MS)
4. Is there anyway you can test on another pc,neighbor, friend, relative?(this will help to determine if your MJ is defective)
help! I am running out of USB ports!!!!!!!!
Tell me, Mr. Anderson... what good is a phone call... if you're unable to speak?
