I've been waiting on a Google Voice invite since about last October or November if there are still extras available. ([email protected]) Any idea when Google start sending them out again?

Also, anybody that does have it; are you running into some of the same problems I read about (and experience) with magicJack? (tones during conversation/sporadic service/call forwarding) Right now my problem is forwarding. I've had a lot of trouble calling my mother who lives in a very rural area of Virginia. There is no cell service where she's at and she's on a small phone company and I think that is the main problem.

For a while it seemed to work much better if I just forwarded my MJ number to her phone number then dialed the MJ number directly from a land line but now that's not working either. It does clear up for a few days if I use the customer service chat and jump through all the hoops but that's a lot of trouble to do once or twice a week. I was reading a Google Voice message board and it seemed people were having the same problem with not being able to forward to certain numbers and exchanges.

Today (May 24th) the call forwarding to my mother's number worked. There was no "ringing" tone on my end but after she answered her phone the call quality was near perfect. I think magicJack just has their good and bad days.

Still no reply on whether or not this same thing happens with Google Voice?

It is always nice to help someone in need but I usually only help forum members who have participated. That one post wonder is probably gone with wind leaving nothing for our community. I hope that I am incorrect but I am sure someone here may have needed a GV invite who has participated in the past and added something of value to the community.
