support for osx leopard

Post by larysius73 »

hi,

i just got my magicjack recently and it's working fine on windows, but i cannot get it to do the mac upgrade. the tech support is less than helpful when i ask them for a direct link to the mac software, they just keep sending me to the upgrade page, which to this day fails all the time. i read on some other forums that it does work natively in mac, but only if you have tiger. any mac buffs out there got this working on their mac without windows emulation software that can possibly send me the software directly? or is there any support for leopard that anyone knows of? thank you in advance for any help.

Yep it works but I can't get a dial tone now. Not sure if its due to the phone I'm using. Most likely it is as Im using one of those cheap mini flip ones.

I bought 2 of the cheap mini flip phones from Walgreens. Both of mine do not work properly, and will likely be headed back there soon.

I would try another phone.

Do you have a PC you can try you MJ on?

I'm not on my Mac right now, so can't remember if you can change to use a local headphones and microphone, instead of the phone, like on the PC. But, if there is such an option, you might try it to see if you can get a dialtone through your speakers.

I have VM Fusion loaded up with XP and I don't get a dialtone with that phone either on the XP side. There is no option to change between phone and headphones on the Mac side like you would see on the PC side. I couldn't even get a dial tone on the Mac thru the speakers however even after going into System Preferences and choosing MJ from the list of options. I have a Jawbone I'm charging up now so I'll try that later on.
