Does anyone know of particular applications that generally have a nasty impact on smooth MJ operation? I have noticed that when I start up other applications, the MJ seems to go into LA LA Land and stops responding, and even Windows XP tells you the same thing. Is there a way to give the MJ some type of system priority in order to minimize interruptions?
Also, I used to connect my laptop via a VPN connection to my company, then start OUTLOOK for my email service. Soon thereafter, MJ takes a nose dive. Dumb ME!!!! Once you connect to another systems network, you in essence leave the comfortable confines and control of your own local area network. They haven't quite figured out how to keep the MJ working in those VPN situations. It has to be related to available PORTS on the VPN. My ports are open on my network, but most companies tend to lock their systems down from outside interference, thus the needed ports (5060-5070, 80, and 443) are probably closed.
I was just curious if there were some know application conflicts when MJ is running. I don't MJ likes my USB Canon scanner being connected at the same time either. MJ hung up 100% of the time.
Any additional insight to known application conflicts would be helpful!
Thanks!
