Can not call 3 digit numbers

I live in Montral (canada). We have seveal 3 digit numbers. For example

311 - City of Montreal
511 - road repairs
etc

I am unable to call these numbers. There are no alternate 10 digit numbers for these service.

Any suggestions?

My first thought is those 3-digit numbers are a type of speed-dial setup. The phone company allowing you to dial those numbers probably doesn't recognize your MJ service, so you can't get through. You'd need to contact either the city or their phone service to see how you can get them to recognize your MJ service.

It does not work with MJ.
BTW, I used my long distance carrier and it did not work either ( in both cases I used the 514 area code). It apparently does not work from the U.S. no matter what you try.
Can you try to go there in person and talk to those people, they have to give you a normal number !
It reminds me my attempts to call a bank in the Netherlands, which only had a 900 number ( what a service, you have to pay for talking to them !)
which you cannot call from abroad, so friend of mine in NL called them up and they gave him a regular number for me to call.

I have called city abnout this. But no luck. 311 is city's main information number.

MJ is not any concern to city.

I called MJ tech as well as my phone company. Had no luck there.

I can not even call my phone company with MJ !!! I dial full 10 digit number.

Does MJ works? Is it as good as they say???
