I have User Id and Password, but "Can't connect to logi

Post by mavro6000 »

Hey guys, I am stuck and I need help. The problem is very simple. I have a "new version" magic jack. I just bought it last week. I used the MagicSipac v1.2 and I was able extract the password and user id. But when I configured with the Linksys Phone Adapater it shows:
"Registration State: Can't connect to login server"

I have an old magic jack and I have the USER ID and Password and it was able to work with that user id and passwords.

Is there something wrong?

Do I need to use the @talk4free.com?

Some Magic Jacks require you to use MJMD5 as a proxy. Doing that with XLITE should work.

UPDATE: Mavro contated me to let me know it worked.

Is there a way to not leave my computer on using the MJDM5? And configure using the ATA?

your ata needs to be able to run tomato if so you can get a compiled version of mjproxy for it if not you need to host the proxy some where else.

Your Dlink DIR-655 is not compatible with dd-wrt firmware so if you want to use a router and run the mjproxy, I suggest you go to ebay and get yourself a router. I personally like the linksys WRT54G ver.4 model because to me it is the closest thing, and cheapest router compared to the Buffalo whr-hp-G54 without the built-in amplifier. You should go to www.dd-wrt.com and make your own observations under router database. You need at least 4mb FLASH and 16mb RAM if you want to run mjproxy also choose a firmware version that has jffs in it.. either mini, no-kaid, or voip.

As for your PAP2 ata, if it is an unlocked ata, just follow elsewhere in the forum to configure it... or buy one on ebay.

Is the ATA unlocked? Is your password any good? Try sipdump... never fails. download and install notepad++ and search your dump files for your password

mjmd5 and ata

Post by doncabrn »

Can someone help me or point me in the right direction to configure my innomedia mta6328-re with mjmd5 running on computer. I currently have
xlite and MJMD5 working on my computer, but when I tried to put the credentials in my sunrocket gizmo and access mjmd5 that's located on my computer, it didn't work. Any suggestions?
Any help will be appreciated.

turn off windows firewall and router firewall to start with. then search this forum for "mta6328" like the rest of us and READ READ READ
