Verify Login ERROR remains...

I have searched your forum and have found that no-one has really solved this very annoying pop-up error. And as frustrating as it is, MJ's online support is even worse, they have no idea how to approach a fix let alone understand it.
Come on now.... someone must have cured this...one MJ in one XP Pro computer, never pulled nor settings changed, all upgraded YET every 3rd time or so on start up you get the 'VERIFY LOGIN' nag screen ...a solution PLEASE !

This is something I posted last May and removing cthelper.exe from running at startup fixed it for me after it was added to my startup when I updated my sound drivers.

Your mileage may vary.

Sorry Dude, other than the first time I installed my MJ 2 years ago that was the only other time that screen came up for me..
I can only suggest IF some program running at startup caused that for me, maybe something else is causing it for you. I would install Mike Lin's Startup Contral Panel and maybe one at a time uncheck a program so it does not start. Then see what happens with your MJ and maybe after a few tries you may find the culprit. Only thing I can suggets, sorry

Thanks for the idea .... but no need for another prog, just run msconfig and deselect the unknowns one a a time...

Trust me once you use Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel you will wonder why you never used it before. It is a standalone program and won't cause any problems. I have been using it for MANY years and does things you can not do with MS config. But hey whatever works for you..

Let me know how you make out.

Wish I could stay cool, no AC and it is BRUTAL here the last week. UGH. It's so hot that I saw two trees fighting over a dog. : )
