I'm extremely frustrated, and I need some help, I've spent the last 5 hours with Magic Jacks customer support, only to want to beat my head into my monitor...
Here's the issue:
I use a telephone for my magic jack (yes, it's set on telephone) When I place an outbound call using the telephone - It will ring on the other end, the person will answer, but are unable to hear me (no the phone isn't on mute) - the additional problem is that when I place a call with the Magic Jack, the number (on the receiving end) comes in as unknown, and not as my Magic Jack number.
Can someone out there be able to help? Please?
I can't be heard on OUTBOUND Magic Jack calls

A couple of tips. IF you are using the extension cord which came with your MJ, dont as it can cause a myriad of problems. Also make sure you are using a rear USB port and lastly I would try a POWERED USB hub ( yes it has to be powered). You may also want to check in device mamager in the USB section that ALL ( yes more than one) USB root hubs have the power saving settin UNCHECKED.
Those are just a few things off the top of my head. You may also want to do a search on this site as I know others have had the same problem you have.

Same Problem, With a Twist . . .
I'm having the problem also, with one variation. Using Open-Mesh WiFi and a MagicJack, I can hear others perfectly, but they can't hear me at times.
What's unusual about this, is that it seems to happen only when I am on local calls in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I live. It does not happen with calls out of the area. Any insights regarding what's going on in this particular instance?
