New MJ not registering

In recent weeks, my first MJ ran out of money and I could not renew it. I bought another, hooked it up per directions and attempted to register it so that, hopefully, it would work as well as the first one did.

I first wired it directly to the computer rear, downloaded the software then endeavored to register it. The following happened: a notice came up after awhile of it being online on the net and I read the following:

'Magic Jack was unable to contact our registration server.

Please check your internet connection. (The internet was furctioning during the attempted registeration process)

'If you can browse other web pages (yes I could) it means our server is temporarily down.

'Please restart the phone again in a few minutes if it is not ready to call.

'We apologize for any inconvenience.'

At the bottom of this screen it reads: 'Close Window'

Which I did.

I have being doing this for the past several days always with this result.

Question: Has this situation happened to anyone else on this forum and if it had, could you solve it and if so, what solution did you come up with?

I would be most grateful if whoever solved this problem could share it with me and whoever else might have had it.
