Have one MagicJack and I want to get another one...

Hi folks. I'm new here so don't be too hard on me.

I just bought a Magicjack and got the way to use it. I now have my Canadian phone number. I'd like to buy another one for my friends in Great Britain.

What is the best way to do it? Do I buy it myself and then I will be able to get another phone number (US since it won't matter for this one) on my account, I mean in the same account? Then, I will ship the Magicjack to my friends and they will only have to login using the same account than mine, is that it (assuming I will give them my login info)?

But, by doing that, it's kind of risky no? It's like they will have access to my credit card info... So I assume that the best way to do it is to open another account... is that it?

I'm not really sure how to proceed to make it safe for me...

If you buy it from a retail store it shouldn't have anything to do with your CC info.
Just let them create the account using their info and choose a number that you can call and that they can call you.
Unless I am missing something, I don't see why this wouldn't work.

Your way would work, too. I'd just make a new account (either YOU or THEM make it).

I thought MJ had to first be set up in the US before being taken abroad. I may be wrong, but that is the way I understood it.

Or you can send the MJ to your friend and let him be the one who register the product. Mine was purchased (not by me) in US and I registered myself (Im in Mexico).

Im in Canada and registered it here. As far as Im concerned, as long as you have internet access and are not in a country that blocks voip, it doesnt matter where you register. You are just plugging information into their website... But yeah, if your concerned, just register it yourself as a new account and then send it off to whoever... =)
