New to MagicJack
There appears to be a ton of helpful information which will be a great resource should i decide to purchase this. One question is in my mind that i can not get a clear answer to:
Can i call ANY phone number for free, or only numbers that are also magicjack numbers?
Thanks for any clarification. I am sure this information is on this site somewhere, but i want to buy this thing if so and can't see to find the answer readily.

phone interface?
What do you recommend for itnerfacing with MagicJack? I don't want to be tied to my laptop or office while using magicjack. Can i get a bluetooth headset? Would a cell phone bluetooth mobile phone headset work? Does a skype phone work? I'd prefer to use bluetooth technology due to mobility capability.
What works, what doesn't?
I don't want to drop a lot of cash on this since i am just testing it right now. Thank you, again!

Re: phone interface?
You can use most generic wired or wireless/bluetooth headset to be used with MagicJack device. Bluetooth mobile headset should work fine. Some Skype phones would work, some won't. Ones that registers with the OS as generic USB audio device should work. I tried several bluetooth headsets from Samsung, Motorola with MJ, they all work just fine. I tried a couple wired Skype phones with MJ, only one works, the other didn't get recognized by MJ softphone (even WinXP saw it as an USB audio device). YMMV.simplei wrote:What do you recommend for itnerfacing with MagicJack? I don't want to be tied to my laptop or office while using magicjack. Can i get a bluetooth headset? Can i plug MagicJack into a wall phone jack and use any phone in the system?
I have a wall mounted kitchen wirleless phone as our main phone. Other phones are just re-charge stations.

Re: Wall jack?
Yes, as long as you disconnect the old phone service wiring at the point it enters into your house telephone wiring (usually in the garage at the telephone junction box). You can also look at this thread for more tips:simplei wrote:Can i plug MagicJack into a wall phone jack and use any phone in the system?
