Incoming calls no sound, outgoing work fine.

For about a week or so our magic jack has been not working right. Incoming calls ring, but there is not sound. I can't hear them, they can't hear me. Outgoing calls work perfectly.

I have reset my modem and router and sometimes that works, but I have to do it multiple time per day. We have had our magic jack for almost a year with very little, resolvable problems until now.

Anyone with the same issue that has been fixed? Any ideas? This is frustrating as we are job hunting and missing calls. We have resorted to not answering so they will leave a message, then calling them right back. It sucks.

I have had basically the same problem recently. But sometimes the caller would be able to hear me, but I couldn't hear them. And sometimes I would make a call with the same result (I could not hear the person called, but they could hear me).

My MagicJack was behind a cisco WRT160n router. When I moved my dsl connection to go directly to the computer the MJ was plugged into the problem disappeared. But it used to work fine with the same setup.

Did the last update MJ sent create some bug?

I need the wireless router so I can have internet on my laptop. The MJ is plugged into my desktop which is plugged into one of the ports of the router and has worked for a long time until recently.

There are times that is does work, but mostly it does not. Product of the year my butt!

I am so annoyed and wish the problem would go away.
