ADOBE ACROBAT & MJ - Don't Mix Well!!!

Post by Roozie »

MJ Users!

I don't know if anyone is experiencing the same problem as I, but whenever I start the Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader program, my MagicJack just stops functioning and no other software will work. It just causes a temporary system hang situation, HOWEVER, the instant I pull the MJ out of the USB port, everything starts functioning again.

Anyone else experiencing this with the MJ?

Thanks!

Yes! I installed MJ two days ago, and now everything locks up when I try to use Acrobat Reader. Even just attaching PDF files to emails without opening them causes freeze up. Never had a problem before MJ. Also, when I shut down the computer, there are about 5 or 6 programs that have "Problems Shutting Down, End Task Now?" popups that were never there before I installed MJ.

The phone calls themselves are great so far, but I'm wary of snoopware. And I have to use Acrobat daily. Not really worth "free" phone. Where's that uninstall thread?

I threw that bloated slow initilizing POC acrobat reader off my comp long ago and use Foxit Reader instead.

Uninstalled Acrobat and reinstalled v8.2 (was using 8.1.1) and now everything seems fine. Sorry for the panic alarm
Commentless eye-rolls are helpful, as always.

Will definitely check out Foxit though ... Looks like something I could use.
