call comes into magicJack but phone won't ring

I've tried everything including two phones, 3 computers, magicfix, upgrade, recover, powered usb hub, different ports, you name it I've tried it. Any body have a fix for this, because the tech chat is useless as you all know. The phone was ringing before I did the mac osx upgrade, now no matter what computer I'm on , it makes no difference, the phone won't ring.

Good luck I can't get a phone to ring or even give me a dial tone. Mac running OS 10.5.2 here.

The program notifies me of incoming calls on the Magicjack interface, but I cannot get the phone to ring.

Same here. Oh sure, when I switch to headset on settings the computer has a ring, but I don't have a headset.

Otherwise it's working fine.

I had the same thing happend to me. So I try something if your phone as power to it, I unplug the power cord and the phone rings. By unpluging the phone you have no ID, Date or Time or Ans. to the phone but the phone as a dial tone and you can make calls. MagicJack need more power to make it all work. My phone was a Motorola 2.4 GHz. You do not need ID or number to see who is calling, your softphone will come up on the screen went a calls come in or out will have it. Everything you need you have it on MagicJack.
My phone, I use is a Vtech 2.4 GHz it has caller ID on it that its. It works.
P.S. If your base has extra phones and you unplug the base your extra phones will not work.

My replacement MagicJack works just fine. something went bad in the old one. Seems the tech chat people don't want to realize that.

you may have your magic jakc in the wrong port...make sure its a high speed port or it wont get enuf voltage..i did this and now my phone rings loud sound clear..
