MJ Version 2.04

Post by bitstopjoe »

I just installed version 2.04 of the MJ dialer.
Some good news. The UGLY green color is still there, BUT it is MUCH darker and bolder so it is much easier to read..
I have no idea what else has been changed as I just installed it...

If anyone finds anything else new, better, OR worse, please post it here..

Thanks

My second MJ is due for renewal early Nov., but I'm thinking of letting it go and getting the newer version also. You're our beta tester Joe! :D

I've had a stable phone going on about a whole....week, give or take 6 days. I'm too afraid to try it.

I am not talking about the newer Dongle Tom, I mean version 2.04 of the MJ dialer ( the softphone). Unless I misunderstood you.
I just noticed one WEIRD problem. When I scroll in I.E 8 the mouse wheel now works backwards!!! Very odd... As it doesnt do that in FireFox OR Chrome.. JUST I.E.

Joe: Where did you get it? I mentioned in my earlier posts when I went through all the re-installs I ended up with a larger softphone, but it still says 2.0.3.5. Thanks!

Thanks, Joe.

The 2.0.4 softphone is the same as my last one, with the exception the call list font is bold, as you said.

I don't have the IE problem you mentioned, though.

I did notice that after all the tech things that seemed to fix my previous problems the softphone window opens about 10 seconds after I close it after a call. It's still doing that. But considering how much more reliable the mj is, I can live with that.

I think the latest MJ update doesn't like my LogiTech software. If I open the LogiTech wireless mouse config and then save it, all works ok. But upon reboot it is opposite day again. I can live with that till 2.05 or LogiTech does an update..

Yes the bold green is SO much easier on the eyes!!!

As far as your softphone opening after a call? Thats your cordless phone base causing that, well for me anyway. I have a Motorolla 5.8mhz cordless and I KNOW it is casuing it. Why? Because at one time I tried a different cordless system and the problem went away. I went back to my Motorolla and it came back. As you I can live with it...But at least I know what is causing it. It is actually going off hook and then back on hook after a call, which is why the screen pops up.. So now you know :)

I need to get more sleep.... ;)

I still have IE 7, so I'll see how 2.04 works with that.

No issues with IE 7, and...911 also still yellow...oh well. The bold green is a definite improvement.

My IE 8 seems ok now. All I did was go into the config screen, made a setting change, click apply, then changed it back. So far it seems ok.. As I said weird.
Yep even though it is still an ugly green it is SO much easier to read now..

Maybe the green is a subtle environmental message, eh?

Nothing would surprise me with those loonies........ Mark my words one day, maybe soon, outdoor grilling will be banned, Heck they would ban breathing out if they could. That HORRIBLE CO2 gas... dopes....... and the dopes who follow them like sheeps.

I can just see November over the horizon. But I voted early, so that little die is cast.

My 911 button turned green! YAY!

btw IE 9 also causes problems with McAfee.

Now I know why that wasn't working AND why my MJ would randomly stop working.

This is why I tell people NOT to disable that window as every now and then something useful shows up there. Especially for people who have no idea when their MJ account needs to be renewed.
It took many weeks for my 911 to turn green on its own. Someone said they did a 911 test and even though it was yellow it still worked.
Glad to hear all is well now :)

My softphone now displays a warning about using IE 9, saying it will crash MJ. Looks like somebody's paying attention out there.

Yeah, mine too.
I was having problems with a pop-up saying MJ had stopped working, and I'd have to restart MJ.
Then, McAfee wasn't working correctly and the chat tech told me it was IE9 (which I don't even use but I downloaded it anyway).
Apparently it causes problems. I got rid of it.

Mine's still yellow too. Oh well. I'm not relying on it anyway.
